to the Polymer Capital of the World: How Can You Be the Change?
Join Marcela Castaño, Fardin Khabaz, and Alessandro Perego to learn more about the polymer specification from a well-rounded lens. Marcela is offering industry perspective as a Program Lead Senior Material Scientist at Bridgestone. Fardin, Associate Professor in Polymer Science, will offer his experiences in pursuing careers in academia. Alessandro, a current Ph.D candidate at UA, will offer the viewpoint of a current graduate student.

Join Heidi Cressman, Director of Diversity and Inclusion at The University of Akron, College of Engineering and Polymer Science, in her 'Branding Yourself' workshop! Heidi is known for inspiring underrepresented students to pursue engineering and support them through their journeys to becoming successful, professional engineers.

Join Dr. James M. Eagan in a technical talk regarding his research on CO2 renewal polymers! Dr. Eagen is an Assistant Professor at the University of Akron School of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering and he is the recipient of the AAAS Newcomb Cleveland Prize, NSF Faculty Early Career Development award, LG Global Innovation Challenge Award, and the ACS Petroleum Research Foundation (PRF) New Investigator Grant.

Join Gary Kalbasky and Clint Allen in this discussion panel/Q&A session on leadership and growth into managerial positions! Gary, Group Manager for RoviSys Building Technologies, will share experiences of transitioning from ChemE graduate to Systems Engineer to GM. Clint, Director of Design & Reliability Engineering at Sherwin Williams, will share his journey from ChemE graduate through many various technical roles to his current position as director.
